PROJECT MANAGER (posted August 2010)

A challenging, high-paced position, and reporting to the Chief Project Manager, responsibilities include:

 

·     Overall project responsibility, with emphasis on profitability & scheduling management

·     Direction of staff, costing, purchasing, progress billing & cost to complete analysis

·     Management of  drawings, submittals & transmittals

·     Liaising with customers, engineers, subcontractors & other project stakeholders

 

Candidate credentials:

 

·     Recognized post-secondary construction management certificate/diploma or equivalent experience (min. 5 years)

·     Strong leadership and problem solving skills, good interpersonal, oral, written & clerical

·     Timberline software experience considered an asset

Ready for take-off! Jakes Construction has been awarded the 2010 Abbotsford International Airport Taxiway & Apron expansion. The ground-breaking ceremony took place May 21, 2010. The new taxi-way will provide a dedicated off-runway route to expedite aircraft to and from the terminal building, thereby improving runway availability. The terminal apron will be widened to provide more room to accommodate larger aircraft and increased traffic.
