Hope Waste Water Treatment Plant Outfall Protection
- Re-routing of approximately 100 m of Silverhope Creek and armouring approximately 85 m of existing 350 mm diameter steel outfall sewer, in order to protect the treatment plant outfall sewer against erosion caused by creek run-off
- Work completed: creek channel diversion, existing bank removal, steel pipe coating restoration, backfill, supply and placing rip-rap, creek channel reinstatement
- Silverhope Creek is an environmentally-sensitive fish-bearing creek feeding the Fraser River
- The work was performed under direction of an environmental engineer
